Beneath Bended Tree

Tethered moccasins berated into silent agony

Sheltered by warmed instant coffee and shortbread cookies

Insomnia

Silhouette adorned with tailored silver slippers

Shared an orange marmalade confection dressed in apple blossoms

Wakeful Bliss

Stocking feet planted on black leather shoes

Offered a raisin cake from a dusty dinner pail

Dreamcatcher

Wow, this one still gives me goosebumps. And so evocative of the stages of your life.

I really like the first two lines here – and how it ends. nicely done.

I like your words but more than that I love the image. I adore trees and it’s reminiscent of a painting that my mother did when she was young.

There are several things I like about this post. The photograph, with its towering trees dressed in evening light and moss, and the words, making intuitive leaps as they crook up the tree trunks metaphorically in a universe of almost yellow sky, blend together into an evocation of a forest dancing in a strange, mystical universe.

Hi! and Sorry to be so late making my visit to you– May I say that your work is quite impressive, “really good stuff”. I love the economy of words, expressive images (and the photo is great too).

Thanks much for visiting the “Orphan”–let’s stay in touch! God Bless You!

“Shared an orange marmalade confection dressed in apple blossoms”

What a wonderful thought for the small hours when I cannot sleep.
Makes me smile just to think about it :)

The images in this piece are full of beauty, mystery, and a sense of loneliness all at once. I love this piece. And the photograph of the trees is simply gorgeous. Did you take this photo yourself?
The colors in the photo are really beautiful and evocative, and it goes excellently with your writing.
